Day 1: Pickup from Kampala and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

Arrival & Transfer to Lake Mburo: On Day 1 of your 2 Days Uganda Safari in Lake Mburo National Park, you will be picked up by your guide/driver from your hotel in Kampala and drive to the park. You will stopover at the Equator monuments in Kayabwe for a few pictures. You will also stopover at Igongo Cultural center for lunch and later proceed with your transfer to the park.

Afternoon Boat Cruise:  Upon your arrival in the park, check into your lodge and refresh yourself. Later head out to Rwonyo where you will take a tranquil afternoon boat cruise along the eastern banks of Lake Mburo as you view birds, crocodiles and hippos against the setting sun. The boat ride takes about 1- 2 hours and offers you great sights such as; giraffes, zebra, buffaloes and some bird species such as; the white egret, fish eagles, kingfishers and Shoebill stock.

Drive back to your lodge for dinner and relax for the rest of the evening.

Night Game Drive: Later, head out for a night game drive in the park. Night game drives in Lake Mburo national park start between 6:30 and 7pm and last two to three hours. During guided night game drivers in the park, you stand a high chance of sighting wildlife that is rarely seen during daytime in the park like; leopards, lions and other nocturnal animals.

Later drive back to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Horseback Riding and Transfer Back to Kampala.

Morning Game Drive (Optional): Wake up earl in the morning and have breakfast at your lodge. You can choose to go on an early morning game drive in the park. Morning game drives in Lake Mburo national park can start as early as 6am in the morning and take between one to two hours of wildlife viewing.

Horseback Riding:  You will then proceed for your horseback riding safari in the park. This activity is offered by Mihingo lodge hence prior booking is required. Riding a horse will give you an opportunity to see stunning wildlife like warthogs, topi, impala, duikers, bushbucks, zebra and waterbucks. The lodge offers horse rides according to your riding ability; with beginners and inexperienced riders taking between 30 minutes to 1 hour, while experienced riders can take a 4 to 5 hour ride. Drive back to your lodge for lunch.

Transfer back to Kampala: After lunch, you will then drive back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the equator monuments in Kayabwe, where you will visit craft stalls and take pictures of the equator monuments on either side of the road on your way back to the city. Depending on your time of arrival in Kampala, you can embark on a short tour of the city or have your guide/driver drop you off at any hotel of your choice in Kampala. End of Tour.
