Gorilla Trekking: Bwindi is a famous National Park for Gorillas renowned for homing half the population of Mountain Gorillas in the whole world It is an unquestionable destination for Gorilla trekking locally and internationally, thousands of tourists visit this National Park throughout the year to trek these Majestic Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi has over 4 Trekking sectors such as Buhoma, Nkuringo, Ruhija, and Rushaga, where each sector has its respective families or Groups, and all these sectors are open for trekking. Trekking can be done individually or in groups, where only 8 people and below are allowed to trek one Gorilla Family a day. This activity is a very interesting and fascinating activity and the most popular one in this National Park which offers visitors a thriving experience in the Park, Visitors are able to engage with Mountain Gorilla face to face, here you will see how these majestic primates socialize, communicate and how they live in their Families surprisingly they are almost like Human beings.

Gorilla Habituation: Bwindi recently had 2 gorilla families undergoing Habituation, which allows visitors to experience themselves with these Gorillas Habituation, Gorilla Habituation is when Mountain Gorillas undergo the process of getting used to People and associating with them, Mountain Gorillas which are Under Habituation can be slightly dangerous because they aren’t used to people yet but its very rewarding to get involved in their Process. For one to be involved in Gorilla Habituation a permit is required first, these are different from of usual Gorilla Trekking. Gorilla Habituation Permits are a bit costly compared to normal Gorilla trekking ones, they can be acquired from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) or from your trusted Local Tour operator Achieve Global Safaris which are able to secure your permit in advance, please note that Permits are booked earlier like 3 month or above due to their limitations.

Primate and Wildlife viewing: Bwindi impenetrable is renowned for its Majestic Gorillas and its usually not credited for homing amazing other Primates like Chimpanzees, Elephants,Buffaloes, Red tailed monkeys, White and black Colobus monkeys, Vervet, Blue monkeys, L’Hoests among others. Bwindi has about 120 mammals including the 11-primate species. Through game drives, visitors are able to sight animals such as giant forest hog, jackals, civet, forest elephants, wild pigs, warthogs, bush bucks, , Baboons, among others.
