What’s the weather like in Uganda in March? March in east Africa and Uganda is a weather moderate month if we may say, it’s the end of the short dry season and also the start of the short wet season. So it’s in between hot and cold; better yet it’s a warm month with not so much sunshine and not so much rain, actually the rain is really minimal like once a week or once in two weeks. The average temperatures in March range between 27 degrees celicus and 25 degrees celicus across the country with the south western Uganda where you have the mountain gorillas at lowest temperatures sometimes going below 23 degrees.

Well the beauty with the Ugandan weather in March is that it’s one of the most favourable weather for most safari activities like mountain gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, rhino tracking, tree climbing lions tracking, golden monkey trekking, savannah wildlife safaris, nature walks, boat rides, community tours and others. The warm is not so hot or so cold so its perfect.

Especially for mountain gorilla trekkers and chimpanzee trekkers, the trekking can be tiresome in the dry season with the hot sun, the heat and all; and it’s a similar case in the rainy season the trails are slippery and the rain drizzles can be nagging to say the least.
