3 Days Gorilla Tracking Rwanda : This 3 Day Gorilla Tracking Rwanda tour is a short safari specifically designed for visitors on a short stay in Rwanda and those whose main priority is to track the rare and endangered mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. This trip starts and ends in Kigali city and we shall take care of all ground transfers during this trip and offer accommodation for all budgets in order to make your trip hassle-free and a memorable experience for you.

Detailed Itinerary for 3 Days Gorilla Tracking Rwanda.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Pickup & Transfer to Ruhengeri: Our representative will meet you at Kigali International airport or pick you up from your hotel in Kigali and enjoy a brief tour of Kigali city including a visit to the local market and the Genocide memorial site. Later transfer you to Ruhengeri – the base town for Volcanoes national park arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura Lodge/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Iby’ iwacu Community Tour.
Gorilla Trekking: Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed. The briefing is at 7 am. Your guide will give you highlights of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from one to seven hours.

Trekking through the steep, bamboo slopes and then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation is an inspiring and privileged moment. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away. Upon completion of this magical encounter, you can have your packed lunch and then head back to base.
Iby’iwacu Community Tour: After having your lunch, meet up with your guide at the park’s headquarters and proceed with your drive to the popular Iby’iwacu community village which is located just outside the national park. This community is filled with individuals who were once poachers who have reformed and now actively participate in conservation projects that are run in the park. Visiting the Iby’iwacu community village is a good way to experience the Rwanda culture through music, dance and drumming performances from the local intore dance group.
Spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at same lodge as above.
Day 3: Transfer Back to Kigali.
Transfer Back to Kigali: This is the last day of your 3 Day Gorilla Tracking Rwanda Safari. Wake up at leisure and have a relaxed breakfast at your lodge. Check out and meet up with your guide/driver. You will embark on a 2-3 hour’s drive back to Kigali with lunch enroute to the city. Depending on your time of arrival in Kigali, you can opt to embark on a short tour of Kigali City where you can visit some sites that you missed out on Day 1 of your trip. Alternatively, you can have your driver/guide drop you off at any hotel of your choice or at the airport where you will await your return flight back home. End of Tour.
