Detailed Itinerary for 8 Days Classic Uganda Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Pickup from Entebbe/Kampala and Transfer to Murchison Falls national park
Guide will pick you from the airport, meet and greet then begin the Murchison Falls Adventure with an enroute lunch and proceed to the park for dinner and overnight stay at your selected lodge.
Day 2: Game Viewing and Boat Cruise
After an early cup of coffee, you should be ready for a dawn game drive including bird watching and wildlife spotting along the Nile and Albert Deltas. Here you may meet elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, waterbuck and a large number of birds. You will then return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a three- hour boat trip along the Nile gives you the chance to see Murchison Falls from below. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes and birds can be seen along the shores of the river. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight same as previous night.
Day 3: Transfer to Fortpotal
After an early morning breakfast, drive to Fortpotal with an enroute lunch along the way. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at your selected hotel.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is situated in western Uganda. Where you will arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy your meal and embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel to watch Hippos, crocodiles and lots of water birds. After the boat cruise you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Morning Game drive and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Have breakfast and prepare for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. While driving in this savanna part of Queen Elizabeth national park, you will spot plenty of fauna and flora species including mammals like Lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes, impala, waterbucks, and many more. After the game drive, return to your lodge for lunch and embark on a journey to Lake Mburo national park where you will spend your night with dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 6: Morning game / walking safari and afternoon boat cruise
Enjoy a game drive in this small savanna park. Lake Mburo thrills with plenty of animals including Eland, antelope, zebras and many more. After game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and embark on an afternoon boat ride on the Lake Mburo giving you the chance to view water animals like; Crocodiles, Hippopotamus and water birds including; Fish Eagles, Pelicans, Black crake, Heron, Cormorant, and the rare shoebill stork. Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 7: Return to Kampala for city tour
After breakfast, we shall check out of Lodge and proceed with our journey to Kampala. Expect to arrive in Kampala at lunch time and after lunch you will enjoy a Kampala city tour exploring a lot of tourist attractions in the city including Gaddafi Mosque, Craft village, King’s Palace, shopping malls and so many more. Dinner and overnight stay at your selected hotel.
Day 8: Departures
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on this last day of your safari then check out of the hotel and be driven to your drop off point.
